Global General Manager, Latin America
A strong advocate on behalf of the Latin America meetings industry, Eduardo Chaillo serves as Maritz Global Events’ general manager for this vibrant region. He is the owner of Global Meetings and Tourism Specialists LLC and as an extended member of our team, is responsible for establishing regional partnerships that ensure consistent design and delivery of the Maritz Global Events Experience, identifying opportunities to culturally enhance client programs, and advancing the company’s reach and position within the region. In addition, Eduardo helps oversee the Maritz Global Meetings Network and works closely with network partners to identify new business opportunities.
Prior to joining Maritz Global Events, Eduardo spent more than 12 years at the Mexico Tourism Board, where he held a variety of positions including Executive Director for the Meetings Industry and North American Regional Director. During his tenure with the Mexico Tourism Board, he helped establish respected partnerships with organizations in the meetings industry, created strategic alliances with competing countries and ran the National Travel industry tradeshow “Tianguis Turístico.”
Eduardo is a well-respected leader in the industry, currently serving on the newly developed COCAL International’s Board of Directors, MPI Mexico Board of Directors, Santa Fe Hotel Group, Expo Guadalajara and the Latin America CVB’s Advisory Board. In addition, he has been honored by numerous organizations including JMIC, Site, and IMEX, he was inducted to the CIC's Hall Of Leaders, and has been recognized as a top leader by Successful Meetings and Más Expos publications.
